Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American journalist. She is currently a sportscaster for ESPN and is an anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins speaks two languages and has been for a long time, starting at the age of 9. This skill helped her to get her first work at Univision, Miami. She was able to work with national producers on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then, it was the CBS affiliate that is located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. She moved in 2009 in Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as journalist for The Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. They eventually moved into Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November of 1985. Also, she has a sibling. In 1992, the family moved out of Mexico in search of the US and was settled in Miami. In 1992, her parents separated following which, in the year 1995 she got married again Fabio Fajardo, an engineer in the naval sector who passed away in the year 2006 after suffering from kidney cancer. She stayed there in Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer, where she had been offered a job. As a senior in high school but having a clear vision of what she would like to accomplish in her future, Antonietta was able to visit The University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her preferences. In the end, she was a fan of the university and they were offering the major that she had been looking for. When she finished her high-school studies, she was accepted into the University to pursue media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU Radio and was student in her class, developed a lasting relationship with the student. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her by his passion in journalism. The professor also had a profound impact on her.
