Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzales-Collins, who is an Mexican American reporter. Her current role is a sportscaster for ESPN, working as an anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. Her first job at ESPN in the year 2016. The daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins speaks two languages and has been so since her age of nine. This skill was instrumental in securing her first position at Univision, Miami. She could work with producers from across the country on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. A CBS station located in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become reporters for sports. She worked as a journalist with KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. The stories she covered were about illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking within both Texas as well as Mexico. As an anchor, her duties for weather or sports were frequent requests. Later, she was the anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The station then gave her larger responsibilities. The pieces she produced were on MLB's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Antonietta Collins' family was originally from Veracruz Mexico. At some point they moved from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November in 1985. She also has a sister. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. In 1992, her parents separated following which, in the year 1995 she got married again Fabio Fajardo, the engineer for naval vessels who passed away in 2006 of kidney cancer. In the summer of 2006, she went to spend an entire week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school and had a very clear vision of her career goals. She went to Mount Union University in order to see if it was a good fit for her. In the end, she loved the campus, and they were offering the major she wanted. After completing her high school studies, she decided to go to the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU where she's a member. They had a very close relationship. He guided her to become confident and self-confident. His passion for journalism greatly influenced her and she, in turn, was determined to fulfill his expectations, and to never let him down.
